At the Tourist Information Centre, located on the ground floor of the Town Hall in the central Freedom Square (nám. Svobody), you can get all the important information you need: maps, fliers and leaflets, tips on excursions, walks and other leisure activities and information about the services provided in ®atec. A trail marked with signs and the baroque tower of the Town Hall will help you to find your way easily.

Its prominent exhibitions are devoted to prehistoric times in the middle Ohře valley, the history of ®atec and the largest collection of hops tokens in the Czech republic. You can see the expositions of the Regional Museum in the Husova Street every day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. except for Saturday and Sunday. Furthermore, in the main season lasting from April to the end of September is the visiting time extended on Wednesday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

The castle Krásný Dvůr is situated about 20 km from ®atec (direction to Podbořany).
The originally Renaissance seigniorial house in Krásný Dvůr dates back to shortly before 1573.

NECHRANICE DAM
The Nechranice water work is located on the Ohře River, between the towns Kadaň and ®atec. It is significant for its poured dike which is the longest in Central Europe, it is 3 280 meters long. The stretch of water itself is of 1300 hectares. This water work was built in 1961-1968, originally for industrial purposes. At present it goes through an important development in the area of tourism.
